Lenka // 6-19-15 // Doug Fir

Lenka played at the intimate and eclectic Doug Fir and the crowd put off a mellow vibe.

The Austrailian vocalist couldn’t have felt more relaxed as she chatted with the crowd between songs and improvized song bits on the spot. Her keyboard and tambourine– along with two side musicians– backed the singer’s full vocals throughout her sets. Lenka doesn’t take herself too seriously while interacting with the crowd through her lyrics.

Anyone who hadn’t already picked up her recently released album, The Bright Side, got an amazing live preview on this night. Synthetic sounds brought feelings of nostalgia while her vocals sound brought Regina Spektor and Kate Nash to mind.

Any "progressive" complacent about the outcome of the upcoming election can only be considered afflicted by progressive dementia.Of course, Obama could win, the Senate majority strengthened, the House retaken and the president will STILL find ample reason to repeatedly defer to the opposition party.John Puma

Nick, if Tapit were delivering the marketing campaign, there would be no need for that. There would be clear visual aids indicating the facility at entry points a) making it known that free WiFi was available and b) by having a tapping point, you could connect simply by tapping rather than go through your handset settings menu.
