Blitzen Trapper // Live In Portland (2014)

As a show of appreciation for its fans, local alt-country rockers, Blitzen Trapper, have released a name-your-price live album assembled using tracks from a 2-night stand at the Doug Fir Lounge in November 2013.

On first listen, you’ll find a collection of cohesive run-throughs of many of the band’s live staples such as “Black River Killer,” Furr,” and “Wild Mountain Nation,” as well as a couple of improvisational vehicles (“Thirsty Man” and “Street Fighting Sun”) that hint at the group’s classic rock undertones.

Even though this was just released today, it promises to go down as one of the finer live records recorded in Portland.  If you like what you hear, please support the band by seeing them live and/or purchasing other records.
